Wyoming State Science Fair Public Viewing - Laramie
The Wyoming State Science Fair (WSSF) provides a forum for Wyoming pre-college (6th-12th grade) student scientists to conduct and share their original science, technology, engineering or math research.
Participation engages students in real-life STEM research experiences, and dialogue with professionals.
Students compete for over $12,000 in awards and recognition from local & national organizations and academic institutions. The top high-school competitor is selected to represent Wyoming at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May 2026. Top middle school competitors are nominated to enter the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge (national middle school science fair competition). All participating students and mentors get the scoop on other top science research competitions and opportunities.
The public is welcome to come see and support the scientific research done by this year's student competitors. Competitors represent 21 Wyoming communities including Basin, Big Piney, Casper, Cheyenne, Cody, Dayton, Greybull, Hanna, Kemmerer, Kinnear, La Barge, Lander, Laramie, Marbleton, Parkman, Pavillion, Pinedale, Ranchester, Riverton, and Sheridan.
