Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concerts in the Park Features National Touring Artist - Lander
Central Wyoming College will be presenting a Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concert in the Lander City Park on Monday, July 29 at 7 PM. The Joey Leone Band will be featured as the guest artist for the concert.
The CWC Community Band will perform a variety of band favorites for the park audience followed by the Leone’s band.
Joey Leone’s “classic rock reputation is legendary dating back to the October 1992 issue of Guitar Player magazine where Joey’s sound was compared to none other then Jimi Hendrix,” according to a press release. His blends classic, rock, soul, and country music. According to his website, he plays an “authentic blues in the tradition of his influences Albert King, Magic Sam, Freddie King, and Otis Rush.”
Performers interested in playing in the CWC Community Band or others wishing to get more information about the concerts are encouraged to contact Dr. Cochran at jcochran@cwc.edu. The band rehearses at 5:30 PM in the park and will be served dinner by Covenant Presbyterian Church at 6:30.
