Central Wyoming College will be presenting a Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concert in the Lander City Park on Monday, July 15 at 7 PM. According to Kelly Dehnert, manager of the series, “Davis and Mavrick” will be featured as the guest artist for the concert.

Dr. Jeremy Cochran, the Community Band Director, says the CWC Community Band will perform a variety of band favorites. Cochran has been conducting the CWC Band since the fall of 2020 and the band has grown appreciably over these four years.

Davis and Mavrick performs folk, country, and popular music according to Dehnert. It will be their third performance for the Hot Notes audience. “They have become a favorite of our audiences,” Dehnert said.

Hot Notes | Cool Nites Concerts in the Park were started by Tonia Burnette, former Robert A Peck Arts Center Coordinator, in the mid-nineties. The concerts this year are sponsored in part by the Lander and Riverton Recreation Boards, Home Source Realty, Wyoming Arts Council, Rocky Mountain Agronomy, and the City of Shoshoni.

Performers interested in playing in the CWC Community Band or others wishing to get more information about the concerts are encouraged to contact Dr. Cochran at jcochran@cwc.edu. The band rehearses at 5:30 PM in the park and are served dinner by Covenant Presbyterian Church at 6:30.
