Cheyenne Audubon: Sandhill Crane Evening Viewing - Cheyenne

Cheyenne Audubon field trip March 29: Sandhill crane evening viewing.

Cheyenne Audubon members invite the public to join them on a free birdwatching trip Saturday, Mar. 29, to Table Mountain Wildlife Habitat Management Area to see sandhill cranes return to their nighttime roosting area after feeding in the grain fields The trip is free and open to the public. Birders and non-birders of all ages are welcome.

Participants will meet and leave at 3 p.m. from Lions Park, from the parking lot south of the Children’s Village, South Lions Park Drive. The WHMA is about 75 miles northeast of Cheyenne, near Yoder. We’ll look for waterfowl along the way. Expect to be back in town by 9 p.m., but participants with their own transportation may leave at any time.

Bring water, snacks or dinner and dress for the weather.
