Paolo Schianchi: Public Concert - 7:30 PM Friday 2/28/25 at the Surbrugg Prentice Auditorium on the LCCC Campus; Guitarist Paolo Schianchi (www.paoloschianchi.com) is an out-of-the-ordinary musician and performer, able to master all existing variations of the guitar, from the Renaissance lute to electric guitars, to unique instruments which he has created. Among them is a 49-string guitar he personally designed and had made especially for him, and the Octopus guitar system which allows him to play several instruments at once. A native of Parma, Italy, he was the first solo guitarist to perform at the Carnegie Museum of Art and holds a special Green Card for life, given to artists with extraordinary abilities. He has written, arranged and recorded music in classical, pop and rock styles. Tickets can be purchased at www.sewyoconcerts.org or at the door the evening of the performance.
