An Evening with Amelia Earhart - Casper

An Evening with Amelia Earhart - Casper

The Historic Bishop Home, a Cadoma Foundation property, invites you to dinner with Amelia Earhart, the legendary woman aviator who fell in love with Wyoming, on August 10, 2024. The period dinner begins with a reception from 5:00 to 6:15 pm. at the Historic Bishop Home 818 East Second Street Casper Wyoming. At 6:15 pm, guests will progress to the Casper Country Club for dinner and entertainment by Amelia Earhart portrayed by Elsa Wolff.

Earhart was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first person ever to fly alone from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland. The world’s most renowned female aviator fell in love with the Wyoming after her first visit in 1934. She was looking to reside in Wyoming before she flew away from the world 87 years ago. Here new home was being built in remote northwestern Wyoming as she sored off radar on July 2, 1937. Work on her new ranch house stopped the next day.

Elsa Wolff has performed her Living History Presentations of Amelia Earhart for over 25 years. Her goal is to inspire audiences young and old alike. Wolff is a Member of Colorado Humanities. Ms. Wolff, as Amelia Earhart, will mingle with guests and be available for photographs during cocktails at the Historic Bishop Home. After a 3-course sit-down dinner, Ms. Earhart will entertain guests with memoirs and take questions and comments. During the event, patrons will have the opportunity to bid on exploratory flights around Casper that have been donated by Rising Wings Aviation Inc. and Don Oakes. We are grateful for Hilltop Bank who is sponsoring Ms. Wolff and Hein/Bond Architects who are sponsoring the Historic Bishop Home Reception.

The cost of the dinner is $90.00 per person. ($20 is a tax-deductible donation to the Cadoma Foundation). Funds will support the preservation of the Historic Bishop Home. Please call 307 235-5277 or email Info@cadomafoundation.org for reservations on or before August 1, 2024. Period Dress is encouraged but not required.
