Living in a War-Torn Land, an Iraqi's Perspective

Five years after the U.S. military's "shock and awe" assault on Baghdad, Thair Younis, an Iraqi driver for NPR, and correspondent Anne Garrels return to the Palestine Hotel, where they watched the attack in 2003.

Younis has lived through much pain, suffering and harsh reality since the toppling of Saddam Hussein's regime, Garrels reports.
