The Corps and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality are reviewing aspects of the controlled demolition of the LaPrele Dam near Douglas.

The call could potentially disrupt water storage reservoirs in the Big Horn Mountains designed for irrigation and municipal water use for the City of Sheridan. However, the current call may be lifted after recent snows, rain, and increased temperatures increase river flows and fill the reservoir. More precipitation is also forecast for the area in the near future.
