Station EAS Operational Log
Station Emergency Alert System [EAS] Activity Logs
KUWR is designated as the LP1 (Local Primary) station for Wyoming EAS Area 5. The associated log file names are prefixed with "LP1" accordingly.
The PN designated stations KUWL and KUWY share common operational equipment. Their activity is aggregated into a common log with a filename prefixed with "PN".
All other stations that broadcast services of Wyoming Public Media are designated as PN (Participating National) stations. These other services and stations of the Wyoming Public Radio Network operate under the main studio waiver provisions of the FCC regulations.
Description of the files are as follows: The "Reconciliation" form summarizes overall EAS activity for the WPM network stations. It is used to show operations at a glance, noting any abnormalities. The files following the reconciliation are log summaries produced as a normal function of the EAS equipment showing alerts received and transmitted.
Addenda are included within each section's individual Reconciliation summaries for those reporting periods during which an event of noteworthiness was conducted, or an irregularity or malfunction occurred where the FCC rules require follow-up or investigation to be conducted and the findings with any remedial actions are to be noted.
The Wyoming State EAS Plan defines the role of Wyoming's broadcast stations and how each fits into the overall EAS structure in Wyoming. It can be viewed at the website for the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
