Rick Congleton was born in Washington, NC where he graduated from High School. He met his wife Kam, in college and they have a daughter Jacy and a son Joe. They will be grandparents for the first time in October. Rick served in the U.S. Army where he was trained as an electronic technician. He spent the last twenty years working for WRAL TV in Raleigh, NC, as a Transmitter Engineer. He was part of the engineering team responsible for installing the world’s first: High Definition TV, High Definition FM and 4K television transmitters. His love for the mountains and the challenge of combining studio with transmitter engineering brought him to Wyoming Public Media.
