Firefighters battling the Mullen Fire in the Medicine Bow National Forest continued to struggle with dry, gusty winds.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the fire had grown to roughly 161,000 acres and containment remained at 14 percent. Over 1,100 firefighters are attacking the blaze.
Areas of concern include the community of Albany in the Medicine Bow National Forest and several residences near Mountain Home. Crews are fighting spot fires in those areas and have set up some other protections. A drone flying with an infrared camera has been helping firefighters at night find and put out small spot fires ahead of the main fire.
