Women And The Vote: New Book Explores Importance Of Female Suffrage

During this year’s midterm elections, the women’s vote has been hotly contested. But it hasn’t always been important to appeal to female voters. Women have only had the right to vote for less than a hundred years. Jad Adams is an author and historian based in the United Kingdom, and recently released his book Women and the Vote: A World History there.Adams first became interested in women’s suffrage after a visit to Cheyenne, where he learned of Wyoming’s early efforts for women’s suffrage. Adams will present his book to Governor Mead in Cheyenne November 15th, and will give a talk at the Cheyenne Barnes and Noble the same day. He joined Wyoming Public Radio's Caroline Ballard to discuss the history and importance of the female vote.
