Governor Matt Mead is calling for a state-wide plan to address homelessness in Wyoming, and the Department of Family Services has appointed a homelessness coordinator to help with that process.
Brenda Lyttle says part of her job will be to find out what services are already available to homeless individuals in different communities, and help connect those services across the state.
“If someone in state government is able to keep track of the services that are going forth, then those services can help each other,” Lyttle said. “I can help different folks in different communities learn from each other, share resources with each other, share knowledge with each other.”
Lyttle says the goal is to provide better services to homeless people and ultimately to reduce homelessness.
