Making Contact: Where Creative Writing Meets Visual Art

Making Contact: Where Creative Writing Meets Visual Art

Making Contact: Where Creative Writing Meets Visual Art is a two day creative writing and art making workshop at The University of Wyoming Art Museum that engages with Michiko Itatani’s work. The workshop will explore the concept of “High Point Contact,” a momentary touching of two elements, using art inquiry, ekphrastic writing, and printmaking and collage techniques.

This workshop is intended for an adult audience, and will occur across two sessions:

Fri, Feb 3 5-7PM

Sat Feb 4 1-3PM

This workshop is taught by Cady Favazzo. Cady Favazzo is a poet and teacher from Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Elementary Education and has been teaching learners of all ages for the last ten years. She earned her MFA in Poetry from the University of Idaho where she taught composition and creative writing. She now lives and writes in Laramie, Wyoming where she works at her local library and teaches at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. You can find some of her recent work in Nimrod, Cimarron Review, Phoebe and elsewhere. For more information, visit CadyFavazzo.com.
