Back for its 12th year it’s the Classic Western Film Series at the WYO with a 5th weekend! Each film features a guest host, prize giveaways, free popcorn, and a sense of nostalgia. Started in 2010 by board member Gene Sturlin, every film is introduced by Gene and a guest host who touches on highlights, lowlights and funny anecdotes from the film. The series opens on January 8th with Red River starring John Wayne and Montgomery Clift with guest host Buck Brannaman; followed by Duel in the Sun with Gregory Peck and guest host Shawn Patrick Higgins January 15th; One Eyed Jacks directed by and starring Marlon Brando is the 3rd film in the series on January 22nd with guest host Craig Johnson; the Sam Peckinpah film, Ride the High Country, featuring Randolph Scott and hosted by Steve Tucker rounds out January on January 29th; and the 5th and final film ON February 5th is Dodge City starring the iconic Errol Flynn and hosted by Aaron Linden. All films are at 2pm, four Sundays in January plus one. Start your new year with the classics!
