Envisioning a Yellowstone-to-Yukon Eco-Region

Alex Chadwick talks with Christopher Joyce, who just returned from a four-day meeting in Canada with biologists who are working on the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y).

The plan envisions the creation of an enormous eco-region stretching nearly 2,000 miles from Wyoming to the far north of Canada's Yukon Territory. The plan would link existing wilderness and natural areas with wildlife travel corridors to enable large predators and other animals to migrate.
