SCLT Discovery Session: Bear Gulch Plant Walk - Bighorn National Forest

Calling all “Flower Finders” and “Plant Peepers” for a fun evening on the mountain where you’ll learn how to identify many of the plants that grow in our beautiful Bighorns backyard. Botanist Bob Giurgevich will guide us on a leisurely walk along the trail, providing identification tips and tantalizing tidbits about the plants we see.

When: Tuesday, July 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Meet at Bear Gulch East Trailhead @ Red Grade Trails.

If the parking lot is full, please park carefully along the side of the road. This walk will be about 1.75 to 2 miles long. It is easy to moderately difficult, with some stone steps along the trail. Dress for the weather. Free to attend, open to all.
