I.F. Stone was an icon of investigative reporting, covering subjects from the New Deal to Hitler's Germany, the birth of Israel and the Vietnam War.

His newsletter reached tens of thousands of subscribers, but his influence went far beyond those numbers.

Biographer Myra MacPherson remembers a great journalist.
