Michael Wade

Mike Wade grew up the son of a coal miner and a county clerk in Kemmerer. He graduated from UW before spending six years on the west coast earning a Master’s degree in Sociology at UC-Davis and discovering new music as an announcer for a couple of radio stations in Sacramento. Mike returned to UW in 2001 and is currently the Associate Director for SEO, where he oversees grant-funded programs that help first generation and limited-income students prepare for and complete college. Since returning to his home state, he has developed an affinity for all that WPM offers and is thrilled to be able to share his passion for music as a Wyoming Sounds host.
