Incumbent US Representative Cynthia Lummis easily secured her party’s nomination in Tuesday's primary election, and likely also a fourth term in the House. The AP reports her general election challenger, Democrat Richard Grayson, has not been campaigning.

Lummis says her focus in the months ahead will be pushing for broader GOP representation in Congress.
 
“We need a change in the US Senate, we need to keep a Republican US House, so we have an opportunity during the last two years of the Obama administration to get legislation to President’s desk and change the direction of this country,” she said

If re-elected in November, Lummis says she will pursue the chairmanship of the House Subcommittee on Public Lands. 

“[With the chairmanship] I’ll be in a position to help Wyoming in a variety of avenues -- Endangered Species policy, water policy, mining policy, surface policy, wild horses and burros policy, Native American policy,” she said.
 
Lummis is currently chair of the House Subcommittee on Energy.
