The State of Academic Publishing Today Event & Consultation - Laramie
The University of Wyoming Department of English is pleased to host “The State of Academic Publishing Today” with James Campbell at 4:00 p.m. on September 30th, in the Classroom Building, room 118. This event will feature an informative talk and Q&A session on publishing careers and is open to the public.
Campbell is a Senior Editor and head of Marketing and Sales at Intellect Press, which collaborates with the University of Chicago Press. With over 18 years of experience with Intellect Press, Campbell brings his expertise in academic book and journal publishing, marketing, and sales to UW.
In addition to the talk, Campbell will offer one-on-one consultations for those with book projects or publishing questions. Consultations will take place on October 1st from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:30–4:30 p.m. in Hoyt Hall, room 211.
This event offers a unique opportunity for faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and community members to gain practical insight into the state of academic publishing today and to receive personalized guidance on their own publishing projects. All are welcome to attend.
