Albany County Historical Society Meeting Tuesday, January 21, 2025 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Alice Hardie Stevens Center in Laramie, WY. Barbara Allen Bogart will present “Oral History: From Memory to History.”

Barbara Allen Bogart will draw on more than 30 years of experience as an oral historian to demonstrate the value of capturing memories in a community setting as a means of enriching our understanding of the local past.

Barbara has conducted numerous oral history projects and workshops around the state. She has served on the staff of the Wyoming State Museum and has worked as a consultant for several Wyoming museums and historical societies. She now enjoys working with clients at the UW Writing Center on organizing their ideas and honing their writing skills. Barbara holds graduate degrees in English and Folklore Studies from San Francisco State and UCLA.
