College of Business Speaker Series: Dr. Nicholas Sly
The UW College of Business is pleased to welcome Dr. Nicholas Sly, Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and regional economist for Wyoming, Colorado, and northern New Mexico, for a public talk on Tuesday, April 11 at 5:00pm. Dr. Sly will speak on the UW campus in BU Scarlett Auditorium in a fireside chat format with the UW College of Business Dean, Scott Beaulier. The event includes a Q&A for attendees with Dr. Sly. The talk is free and open to the public.
Nicholas Sly works closely with the Branch’s board of directors and is responsible for briefing the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City on economic conditions in the Denver branch’s region. Sly holds a Ph.D. in economics from Michigan State University. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank in 2015, Sly was Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Oregon.
