Bird and Nature Club presents Photographing the Amphibians and Wetlands of the GYE - Jackson

Charles Peterson will show photographs of representative wetlands, what amphibian species occur there, how to identify them, and describe key aspects of their natural histories, threats to their populations, and possible conservation actions.

Dr. Peterson teaches classes in herpetology and nature photography at Idaho State. His research is on the ecology and conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the Northern Intermountain West. He has been studying amphibians in the GYE for over 30 years. Peterson is an Emeritus Professor of Zoology in the Department of Biological Sciences at ISU, the Affiliate Curator of Herpetology for the Idaho Museum of Natural History, and a nature photographer.
