Senate President Dan Dockstader of Afton has had an interesting couple of years. Managing through COVID-19 and numerous budget challenges were interesting enough, but he's also been working to either stop the shut down of coal-fired power plants in the state or at least slow the process down.
The Naughton power plant in Kemmerer, which is in his district, will be retired in 2025. We spoke this week at the governor's business forum in Cheyenne after the news that a nuclear facility is going into the site of that power plant. He starts by explaining why finding a solution was so critical.
