The University of Wyoming trustees approved a new campus master plan last week, setting a course for the next 20 years.
Between renovated dorms, parking garages, and other infrastructure improvements, the University of Wyoming has a number of ideas for expansion.
Acting university president Neil Theobald says he likes that the plan is student-focused.
"I'm also really glad to see it's mostly renovation," he said. "Other than the housing, it's mostly renovation of what we already have."
The master plan illustrates a wide range of potential improvements, from adding more bike and pedestrian paths to renovating Ross Hall into dorms.
It calls for $120 million for infrastructure improvements over the next 20 years.
The plan doesn't commit UW to following through on any of these plans. It simply provides a guiding document as the university considers individual projects.
Board Vice Chairman John McKinley stressed this point more than once during the board discussion.
"I just want to caution people that just because it's on the master plan does not mean those are approved projects or anything like that," he said.
