Bohl Era Is Set To Start

The much anticipated Craig Bohl coaching era begins Saturday (today) as the Wyoming Cowboys football team hosts Montana.

The Grizzlies are led by Senior Quarterback Jordan Johnson and Bohl says they will be difficult to stop.

“Anytime you are looking at an opposing offense I particularly always look at the Quarterback and Johnson is a great quarterback. He is a four year starter, he’s mobile, he’s able to throw the ball, they have a stable of running backs who pose a great deal of challenge, and a wide open passing attack. So anytime you have a duel threat like that that certainly is a challenge for a defense.”

Bohl says Montana traditionally plays solid defense that features a lot of quickness. As for his own team, Bohl says they will be a work in progress. Wyoming will start Senior Quarterback Colby Kirkegaard and Bohl is expecting good things.

“You know he’s made some errors, but those errors have been quickly corrected. Brent Vigen our quarterback coach has done a good job with him. Colby’s done a good job of managing our offense, we run a pro style offense, so it’s quite a departure from the offense the University of Wyoming had before. We are pleased with his progress and are excited to see how he plays.”

Kickoff is at two.
