Wyoming Youth Risk results are up and down

The Centers for Disease Control has released the 2011 Youth Risk Behavior survey.

The C-D-C finds that the students from Wyoming align with the rest of the nation when it comes to Drug and Alcohol use, and are better than the national average in areas such as physical fitness, risky sexual behavior and diet,  but are worse in areas surrounding violence, unintentional injury and tobacco use.

On the negative side, Wyoming students are more likely to be bullied, attempt suicide and not wear seatbelts.  Wyoming students are also more likely to smoke or chew tobacco when compared to the rest of the nation.  While students in the state are more likely to sniff glue and use cocaine, they are less likely to use marijuana and drink alcohol.

Wyoming students spend considerably less time a day watching television and sitting in front of a computer.
