Goshen Community Theatre – Torrington

Goshen Community Theatre was started in 2002 by a group of people who love live theatre. The Theatre puts on two major shows each season, usually a musical in the Spring and a play in the Fall. In June each year they host a Children's Theatre Workshop for kids age 8 - 15. The workshop runs for about a week ending with a production by the kids. They work on making their own costumes and set pieces as well as learning lines, songs, and choreography. The Goshen Community Theatre is a non-profit organization, and the majority of the people who work on the productions do so as volunteers. Their membership is comprised of people from all walks of life and from ages 5 - 80+. Membership is not required to participate in productions, but membership does have its advantages. A one year membership is $30.00 with a free ticket to each of the major productions as well as an invitation to VIP night for each show, an invitation to the annual summer picnic, a copy of the bi-monthly newsletter and voting rights. The Goshen Community Theatre is a member of AACT and has been awarded grant funding by the Wyoming Arts Council. They are governed by a board of directors (9-12 directors) elected by the membership.
