The art exhibition THE BRIDGE is made up of 47 works of art that are meant to show the commonalities between Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Its goal isn’t just interfaith dialogue, but interfaith friendship, and this month it has shows in Laramie, Rock Springs, Lander, and Powell.

Paul-Gordon Chandler is the founder and president of CARAVAN, the group that organized the exhibition. He joined Wyoming Public Radio’s Caroline Ballard to talk about why, after originating the exhibition in Cairo and showing in cities like Paris, London, and New York, “The Bridge” is ending its tour in Wyoming.

“The Bridge” opens September 7 with a reception at the University of Wyoming featuring speakers Wyoming Governor Matt Mead and University of Wyoming President Laurie Nichols. It runs through September 30, and in addition to the art, it will feature lectures, films, and music performances in all four cities. The original works appear in Laramie, with reproductions in Rock Springs, Lander, and Powell. The Foundation for the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming and the Wyoming Humanities Council are sponsoring the exhibition.
