The news surrounding the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election can at times seem overwhelming. To help break it all down, Asha Rangappa has been visiting Wyoming this week, givingtalks in Jackson and Laramie about the investigation, social media, and democracy. 

The former FBI special agent and current CNN contributor spoke with Wyoming Public Radio's Caroline Ballard as part of our series “I Respectfully Disagree,” and started off the conversation detailing how Russia found a weakness in American discourse.

This program is part of the“Democracy and the Informed Citizen” initiative, administered by the Federation of State Humanities Councils. The initiative seeks to deepen the public’s knowledge and appreciation of the vital connections between democracy, the humanities, journalism, and an informed citizenry.
