Plans For Improved Trails On Pole Mountain

Bob Beck

Wyoming Pathways, a cycling advocacy group, has been working to engage the public to discuss the future of the Pole Mountain non-motorized trails.

Pole Mountain is a popular recreation area near Laramie. During a recent meeting, Wyoming Pathways, the public and other recreation groups suggested improving signage, developing new loops, and better trail sustainability.

“After a broad look at all the different needs on Pole Mountain we worked with the Ruckelshaus institute, helping us work through an exercise to prioritize the long list of needs,” said Tim Young, Wyoming Pathways Executive Director.

Young said a report based on the meeting’s recommended improvements will be available in the next three to five weeks.
