After holding a number of meetings to gather public input on an energy strategy for Wyoming, the Governor’s office is now asking people to vote on how to move forward.
The Governor released his first energy strategy in 2013. The administration says it has completed most of the initiatives identified in that document, which is why it’s now looking at a new set.
The Governor’s office held six public meetings around the state and used that input to craft roughly 60 proposals. Many of the proposals focus on increasing support for coal and natural gas. Others include energy storage research and financing for renewable energy projects.
Now, the Governor is asking the public to help decide which of those 60 proposals will make it into the final strategy. The surveys can be found at governor.wyo.gov.
