Gabriela Maria Adalid was a multi-talented Mexican performer. She began dancing professionally at the age of 5. She was trilingual, speaking Spanish, English and Italian.
By the age of 17 she was an accomplished dancer and the founder of Ballet Maya. Her dance troupe travelled throughout Mexico performing traditional Mayan dance.
In the 1960s and 70s she expanded her repertoire, adding singing and acting to her resume. She adopted the stage name Gabriela Farah.
Her career included appearances in 13 Mexican films and performances at night clubs throughout the world.
She also starred in commercials on Mexican television.
A petite five feet tall, she was described as a "fireball with great versatility".
