Wyoming teen Megan Grassell was listed as one Time’s 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014 this week, joining the ranks of Malia Obama and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai. She spoke with Wyoming Public Radio's Caroline Ballard about her success.

With the help of a kickstarter campaign that raised $42-thousand dollars, Grassell created her own company. Yellowberry makes training bras for pre-teen and teenage girls. Grassell, 19, was inspired after taking her younger sister shopping for her first bra. All of the training bras she tried on were padded and mature-looking.

Grassell set out to change the bra industry and its expectations, and says training bras for pre-teen girls is a great starting point.

"Especially because it’s a time in your life when so much is changing. Your body is changing your emotions are changing and so to sort of try to cultivate confidence in girls at a young age is a great place to start with that change," she says.

The Yellowberry brand is designed to inspire girls to embrace the stage of life they’re experiencing.

The brand features bra names like Tiny Tetons and Ladybug, and has a full online store. Grassell says she wants to one day expand Yellowberry’s lineup to underwear, loungewear, and swimwear.
