The June edition of Wyoming Insight, published by the Economic Analysis Division, shows positive growth in a number of areas across the state. The report tracks economic conditions in Wyoming.
State economist Jim Robinson is the author of the report. He says the revenue outlook for the state is consistent across both energy and business indexes.
“A number of indicators tell me that the state is progressing at a fairly steady pace. It’s modest growth, whether we’re talking about employment, or we’re talking about housing, or whatever that indicator is. For the most part, we see pretty good information,” Robinson explained.
The only industry reporting low employment numbers was the leisure industry. But Robinson says those numbers are likely underestimates. He says state tax revenues related to hospitality and recreation were up. More detailed information can be found on the Wyoming State website.
