Superintendent Cindy Hill doubts she'll be impeached

As lawmakers wrap up their investigation of State Superintendent Cindy Hill, Hill says she’s done nothing wrong.  A special legislative committee is currently reviewing claims that Hill misspent money when she was in charge of the State Department of Education, an allegation she denies.  Hill contends that lawmakers investigating the charges have not let her see evidence or allowed her to respond.

“I haven’t broken a law, or a policy, no violation of any policy, so I’m looking forward to having an opportunity when it is fair for me to speak,” Hill says. “I have not been given that opportunity. The meetings have been secret and private.  There’s been no due process, even though it’s been promised.”

Lawmakers are trying to determine if Hill should be impeached.  Hill doubts that will happen.
