Wyoming adds a shooting guard

The Wyoming Cowboys basketball team has signed six-foot-three-inch guard Nathan Sobey  to a national letter of intent to play for Wyoming next season.

Sobey is an Australian native who played for Cochise Junior College in Arizona last season where he averaged 16 and a half points and seven rebounds a game.  Wyoming Head Coach Larry Shyatt says Sobey should be a solid replacement for outgoing Senior Paco Cruz.

“He had great stats on a great team this past year at Cochise, but I think what he really gives us is that maturity and that toughness we are gonna need with that loss of Cruz.”

Shyatt has two more scholarships to fill and adds that players are scheduled to visit Laramie this weekend.
