Jackson Prepares To Host Contour Music Festival

The town of Jackson is preparing to host a major new music festival this weekend.

The first-ever Contour Music Festival features over 50 acts playing back to back at venues throughout Jackson Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14.

The headliners include the well-known electronic group Thievery Corporation, soul singer Charles Bradley, and rapper Deltron 3030. Organizers Jeff Stein and Matt Donovan are both longtime residents of Jackson. Stein said living in Wyoming makes it tough to be a music festival lover.

“We found ourselves always having to leave,” he said, “In order to get our fill of the music and art that we like. So this little seed was planted in our minds where we thought...we live in one of the most magnificent places in the whole world. Why not have a festival right here?”

Stein and Donovan say most ticket holders are from Wyoming and Colorado, but people are coming to the festival from as far away as the west coast.

Some Wyoming groups will also perform, including Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons.

Tickets start around 20 dollars for a single show and go all the way up to 850 dollars for an all access VIP pass.
