Climbers’ Festival kicks off in Lander

Hundreds of rock climbers will gather in Lander next week for the 20th annual International Climbers’ Festival.

The event is meant to celebrate rock climbing, and organizer Brian Fabel says it will include a wide variety of educational clinics: “Everything from how to climb a difficult rock climb, taught by world-class athletes, to kids’ climbing clinics.”

“There’s something for everyone,” Fabel added, “and whether you’re a beginner to advanced climber, there’s a way to get some exposure to rock climbing and the rock climbing community here in Lander, Wyoming.”

Fabel says the festival will also include the debut screening of a film about the history of climbing in Lander, and talks by six world-renowned climbers.

The event runs July 10th  – 14th.
