  • Lawmakers are headed into week four and there’ve been close to 500 pieces of legislation introduced. That number shouldn’t climb too much more. Last Thursday was the deadline for legislation to be introduced in the Senate and Tuesday is the deadline in the House. We’ll watch to see how many bills squeak in before the cut off, but so far the amount of legislation is pretty typical of what we’ve seen in recent general sessions.
  • It’s the third week of the 67 Wyoming legislature. Six more to go in this eight week general session and there are close to 400 bills in play. Wyoming Public Media and WyoFile reporters discuss some LGBTQ+, abortion, and tribal related bills going through the session.
  • We’re headed into week two of the session. When we last checked close to 250 bills had been filed and that number is gonna keep climbing till the filing deadline at the end of the month.Last week was a fun time to be at the capitol. Lawmakers were getting acquainted and re-acquainted with the process. And part of what defines week one of the session is the governor’s state of the state address.
