Sheridan College is thrilled to announce "Music on the Mall," a free, family-friendly event kicking off the Sheridan WYO Rodeo week of festivities on Sunday, July 6th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., under the big tent in the picturesque Whitney Mall in the heart of the Sheridan College campus.
The event kicks off with the contemporary folk songs and fingerstyle guitar picking of Utah's Branson Anderson, followed by the award-winning bluegrass sounds of The Fretliners out of Colorado. Next, Sheridan favorites The Two Tracks take the stage, with their signature blend of folk rock and Americana. The evening culminates with a headlining performance by the acclaimed east coast Americana rock band, Yarn, bringing solid grooves and inspiring jams to close out the night.
In addition to the music, there will be local artisan crafts, delicious food, and refreshing beverages. Attendees can browse a variety of arts and crafts vendors, savor offerings from local food trucks, and enjoy craft beers from local breweries.

Tough Trees for Wyoming and Picnic Walk at the High Plains Arboretum
In conjunction with our summer community exhibition, "A Conceptual Thread," the Museum is hosting a mini artist-in-residence program with fiber artist Doris Florig, an artist featured in the exhibit. During the residency, Florig will demonstrate tapestry weaving and speak with visitors about her methods and materials. The residency will take place Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Sullivan Hall. Each day, Florig will weave her tapestry inspired by the Absaroka Mountain Range, while inviting visitors to ask questions. Her program will be inclusive of all ages and is free to visitors with an admission ticket or Museum membership.
There will also be an opportunity for visitors to contribute to Florig’s “Mother Tree” project. The “Mother Tree” is a collaborative, ongoing project of people working together, engaging in fiber arts while learning to protect and care for forests. Visitors are encouraged to engage in tactile experiences such as weaving, needle felting, spinning, and poetry to contribute to the “Mother Tree.” During her residency at the Museum, visitors will create a panel of the tree trunk that will eventually be stitched to other trunk panels to create the large cohesive “tree” relief sculpture.

The Marketing Trifecta: Authentic Branding, Compelling Content, and Customer Connection
Join us on Monday July 7th from 5-7 pm at Highpoint Cider in Victor, ID for a dynamic panel exploring the evolving landscape of modern marketing through the lens of the powerful trifecta: authentic branding, compelling content, and meaningful customer connection. Marketing experts and entrepreneurs Erica Rice, Emily Bryne, and Lane Valiente will dive into how brand and content strategies have shifted over the past five years, and how businesses can better align brand identity with both short-term goals and long-term equity. You’ll hear real-world examples of what happens when branding and execution align—and when they don’t—as well as tools and frameworks for balancing creativity with consistency across channels.
This conversation will be especially valuable for small businesses and founders navigating limited resources. Panelists will share practical guidance on how to prioritize brand clarity, select the right marketing channels, and build content that resonates with audiences and reinforces brand values.
