Cheyenne Audubon: Ranchers protect habitat
Cheyenne Audubon invites the public for a talk Sept. 19, 7 p.m., Cottonwood Room, Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave., on the process of protecting Lodgepole Creek in Laramie County.
Speaker Jeff Geyer, Laramie County Conservation District water specialist, will discuss how cooperators protected habitat for fish and bird species of concern via grazing correctly, making the landowners the best stewards of their land.
Geyer will walk through the project, highlighting goals, successes, lessons learned and the future of the project.
