Cheyenne Audubon program: the Mullen Fire scar

Cheyenne Audubon Jan. 18 speaker investigates plants and soil microorganisms after the Mullen Fire. Cheyenne Audubon’s free public lecture Jan. 18 will feature University of Wyoming graduate student Tanner Hoffman who is investigating relationships between plants and soil microorganisms after the Mullen Fire. The talk begins at 7 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave. It can also be accessed virtually by using the link available at https://cheyenneaudubon.org/: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86976431363?pwd=OXUvMkd1ajJQbGRNZFNWWllrVzhmUT09 There is also a community science component to Hoffman’s work on the Mullen Fire scar, giving participants the opportunity to engage in the scientific process through educational fieldtrips, laboratory workshop, and plot adoption and data collection.
