According to the Big Horn Radio Network, Sleeping Giant Ski Area in Cody will donate one full day of ski ticket sales to the Ukrainian army. One hundred percent of the sales for Saturday, March 5 will be donated. Sleeping Giant will also redeem ski tickets that are purchased online but aren't used if the ticket purchaser leaves a note for Ukraine.
The Newcastle Newsletter-Journal reports that Newcastle Middle School intervention specialist Keeley Anderson was given a national recognition called the Recognizing Inspiring School Employees award for 2022. Anderson was selected from 25 nominations across 15 states. She was notified in a surprise ceremony at the school.
According to the Powell Tribune, Buffalo Bill State Park is looking to increase capacity at the park after sustained increased interest over the past few years. That includes adding campsites and potentially adding eleven tiny cabins for nightly rentals. The cabins are ready to go but won't be deployed until there is more local feedback.
The Wyoming State Forestry Division and Wyoming Project Learning Tree are teaming up for the annual State Arbor Day Poster Contest. The Pinedale Roundup reports the contest is open to all fourth- and fifth-grade students in Wyoming. This year's theme is "Trees - for birds, bugs, bees, and me." The deadline for entries is March 23.
