Senate to Review Finances of Televangelists

Earlier this week, six high-profile televangelists received an unexpected request from Iowa Senator Charles Grassley. The Senate Finance Committee will be investigating the financial records of the televangelists' so-called "mega-ministries," which have the same tax status as churches. The TV ministries are being asked to reveal the details of minister pay packages, expense accounts, and use of luxury cars and private jets.
