More Snow Hits The State

Gillette, Wy – A slow-moving storm unleashed strong winds
and dropped a foot of snow on northeast Wyoming today, closing
roads and sending vehicles sliding.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a number of minor crashes and
slide-offs occurred in the Gillette area, where most highways are
still closed this evening.
No serious injuries were reported.
Most of the roads were closed last (Wednesday) night and
remained so this (Thursday) evening, including Interstate 90
between Buffalo and Gillette, State Highway 59 from Wright north to
Montana, and State Highways 50 and 387 in Campbell County.
Roads that are open were reported to be slick with snowfall and
drifting and blowing snow.
Gillette picked up 12 inches of snow, while six to 12 inches was
reported in western Crook and Weston counties.
Farther south, eight inches was noted at Manville, six at Lusk
and five at Redbird, all in Niobrara County.
