House Bill Would Allow Concealed Guns At All Government Meetings

Wikimedia Commons

The Wyoming legislature will once again debate whether to allow concealed guns in some gun free zones. The House of Representatives voted to consider a bill that would allow citizens to bring concealed guns to the legislative session, committee meetings, and any other government meetings.

Evansville Republican Kendell Kroeker says it's similar to a bill the house voted down in previous sessions, but this time it does not include schools, college campuses, or sporting events.

"I decided this year that a better strategy would be to just pass it in pieces."

Kroeker hopes that if citizens see that there are no problems at government meetings then they will be more supportive of eliminating all gun free zones.

The bill will go to the House Judiciary Committee for further consideration.
