The Wyoming Cowboys football team returns to the road Saturday against Texas State. The Cowboys are coming off of their best offensive effort in 15 years and Head Coach Dave Christensen has been preaching focus and preparation with his team this week.
He noted earlier in the week that his team hasn’t always played with the same energy every week and Christensen wants to follow-up on the Air Force win with another great effort.
“If we are focused and our preparation’s been invested, then we have an opportunity to execute on Saturday. If we execute on Saturday, then we have a chance for a victory.”
Christensen said Texas State has an athletic defense.
“Defensively they play some unique coverage’s, some things we haven’t seen, they operate out of a three man front most of the time, and so it’s presenting some issues game planwise as we look at them.”
Texas State has struggled against teams and their coaching staff said that Wyoming will present some challenges.
